Dr Habiba Arsiwala
A dentist by profession and an artist by passion, Dr Habiba Arsiwala started her art journey when she was expecting her first baby back in November 2016.
She began following art tutorials at the time and would finish one painting in single day often working on a piece for 7-8 hours at a stretch. She followed the works of The Art Sherpa, whom she credits as her mentor, and largely worked on landscapes. She then moved on to capturing pictures of the great outdoors and replicating it on canvas. The beauty of Dubai painting is one such painting which was created from a picture that was clicked in 2016 and the painting was completed in 2020.As a child she was always fascinated with cursive handwriting uses this skill on canvas with Arabic and English hand lettering. She has pledged to donate 100% of the proceeds from sales of her paintings to charity for cancer patients in the memory of her late father Mr Mohammadi, who lost his battle against cancer.
